quote
Chow Mo Wan: I once fell in love with someone. I couldn't stop wondering if she loved me back. I found an android which looked just like her. I hoped she would give me the answer.
2046 is a handsome enigma that offers little to reward the viewer's patience. Its baffling story concerns the number 2046, which has multiple meanings. It is the number of a hotel room which people have trouble leaving, and it's a year in the future where part of the story is set. The movie moves so slowly that you'll swear that 2046 is also the number of minutes in the film's running length.
